Major world wide changes like wars, .U colonialism and then reawakening j of the Muslim world also affected the region of Sub-continent. This part of the world had histori-b cal Muslim culture and rule for centuries. That's why revolutionary major changes were expected and awaited In South Asia the British rule wast loosing its grip. Legendary Muslimt leaders whom we have discus- sed, created enthusiasm among the Muslim world.

Even Hindus and Sikhs of the sub- continent also sparked their hat- red and anger against the British occupation in India. In 1857 A.D, a great Freedom Movement was organised in this connection. Hindu, Sikh and Muslim soldiers of the British Army revolted against the British rule, then the war erupted throughout the Sub-continent. Cleverly Hindus and Sikhs changed u12m their policy and Muslims of the sub- fs continent were target of the British government This gave heavy loss to Muslims. When Muslims of Indian territory U felt that they are being neglec cii ted, discriminated and tortured by both Britishers and Hindus, they decided to defend their rights. Allama lqbal, Quaid-e-Azam and other Muslim leaders got ahead es for this mission. Muslim leaders and workers of the Congress, a major political party were dishearted. Then All India Muslim League was U formed by Indian Muslims. Later on Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah joined the Muslim League. Muslim leaders demanded a sep- arate homeland for the Muslims of the Sub-continent.

They were of the opinion that Murslims and Hindus are two different reli gious and cultural groups Muslims are entirely a different and separate nation because of their Islamic deology On the basics of Islamic principles f and ideology Hindus, Sikhs and other do not match the Muslims inany sense, therefore majority of -erd Muslim population in this regionJ should be given an independen Islamic state.Keeping this in view, j on 23rd March 1940, All India Mus lim League presented a resolution for separate country, it is called Qarardad-e-Pakistan This was presented by the All India R Muslim League in its session at Mino Park (presently labalPark Minar e-Pakistan) Lahore, presided by Quiad-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.Sher-e-Bengal Maulvi Faza Haq presented that resolution Leader of Indian Hindus Mahatma Ghandhi and others opposed Quaid- e-Azam's demand But at last Pakistan Movenent be- s came so popular and effective thatr British government had to announce independence of both, Pakistan and India.

Majority Muslim populous areas were given to Muslims with the name of PAKISTAN and rest of the areas were given to non-muslims with the name of Bharat or India. British rulers showed narrow min-s ded approach on that occassion and some important Muslim states were not annexed with Pakistan. When migration took place, there utz was a historical bloodshed, million of Muslim women, children, elders and youths were killed by Hindus and Sikhs. The soil of the sub-continent was irrigated by the human blood. But Islamic ideology proved that Muslims can live and function with- ut in an independent Muslim state or country Now we have a safe, independent Fu and Islamic country, where we can freely do what we are allowed to do as per our religion. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jz Jinnah was the first Governor Ge- neral and Liaquat Ali Khan was the first Prime Minister of Pakistan.
